Should be no problem continuing to use the same brand of
tape on the Sony that you used on the JVC, unless head
alignment is too different (more evident with LP-mode
tapes than SP, though) - but mixing tape brands in either
camera *may* be a source of problems. It may be cheaper to
have the JVC repaired than to buy a new camera...
