Yes.. I do think you are usually full of it.

There ought to be a forum for wedding video people..
Your
post is not surprisingly OT, but thet'z Oh-Kay...;-)
There
is a wide mix of people here in this NG, with varying
degrees
and levels of "professionalism". The OP's comments
tended
to place the level of the possible answers (but, can you
get me
a paltry $500k for my next project, please...? ;-). I
do know
the level of my own expertise and experience, and
respond
to posts that fit it with first-hand knowledge (or VERY
close
to it...! ;-), and some people actually find that useful,
sometimes...;-)
You remind me of a run-in I had over time with
another
contributor in a different forum. His response was
always
the big-budget "pro" one, when the answer was often
clearly
inappropriate - and any attempt to point this out resulted
in
insults rather than constructive information-sharing. The "corker"
was
when someone asked if it was OK to allow his Mini-DV
camcorder
to go above 0db when shooting at night, and this
person
answered, "no". If the OP had followed this advice,
the
likely result would have been a very clean frame of black
(probably
not the desired result...;-). Any attempt to suggest
that
there might be a balance between gain rise and subject
visibility
was rebuffed (always obnoxiously, of course, so that
the
little twerp [me ;-] knew his place...;-). He was at least as
illogical,
abusive, irrational, and annoying as you are, but more
often.
Since these groups serve for both information and
entertainment,
and wrangling with this, well, yes..., "jerk" served
neither
purpose, I left the group. Now, much as I might enjoy
exploring
the psychological quirks that lead you to not like
me,
what I do, what I say, academia in general, or anything
else
even faintly related to me, this is not the place. I suggest
that
you find a good psychologist instead. And do remember,
the
next time you skew the meaning of, or inappropriately
edit,
or misrepresent anything I say, that all the NG posts
are
archived - and anyone at any time can go look and be
amused
by your posts...;-) You can do much better than look
silly
publicly - and I know you can post useful info, instead of
junk.
Heck, tell us stories about the making of "Die Hard",
or how
to solve a problem, instead of insisting on supporting
untrue
things like, "Render speed is always an issue.", or
other
flat statements with too many exceptions to be
useful.
You can do this - I just know it! ;-)
