Can a Sony camcorder like the TRV460 take a macro lens?

Sony and macro lenses.
All
video cameras work well for shooting macro - add a high-quality
single-element
"close-up lens" (I prefer the Nikon number two) or
a
double-element "achromat" (I like the Nikon 3T or 4T). The image
quality
with these can be excellent, and the magnification (and focus
distance)
varies with zoom FL setting - going wide can often give good
infinity
focus, going long can often get you down to 1/2" field-width
or
better (good for a single small bug). Macro-shooting in video is great
fun,
and it can provide some of the highest-quality video imaging possible
(see
here for some bees in Premiere: www.David-Ruether-Photography.com/premiere.htm).
These
attachments are about $40 each in 52mm mounting size (can be
used
for smaller or larger lens front-thread sizes with stepping rings,
usually
under $15).
