CPU speed is relevant, but it has far less importance for
rendering speed than one would think... I've successfully
used 233MHz CPUs with video, and even with this, the render
times were FAR, FAR shorter than the original poster
complains of - and my current CPU speed is about the same
as that used by the poster, and renders are
"fast"...;-)
The original poster also has sufficient RAM - the problems
lie elsewhere...
