It is an excellent mic - too bad it is no longer made...

I prefer it used with the zoom slider about 1/2-way

along, for best sound. I have four, and often use pairs

aimed slightly diverging for "stereo".

The Sennheiser MKE-300 is also good "for cheaps"...
