The
"rubber-band jaggies" you see at the fades are a screen artifact
only -
don't worry about them (and you would not be able to hear
level
changes of that order, anyway...). For shifting levels over a
long
period of time (with P-6...), select the "level-shift" tool and
apply
it anywhere along the rubber band to be changed (hold the
"alt"
key to get levels and change-amounts). If you accidentally
get the
rubber-band out of level, run it to the bottom with the
level-change
tool, let go, then run it back up to the level you want...
BTW, I
find it easier to just get in there and do all my editing on
the
timeline itself (using a full-size preview window instead of
that
silly dual-tiny-window arrangement), using a mouse on the
timeline
instead of "short-cuts". This is easier for me, and more
intuitive
for new users (see: www.David-Ruether-Photography.com/premiere.htm).
