No. For the VX2000/2100, any and all service

work is flat-rated at under $300 in the US, as far

as I know (for the video non-pro gear up to 7 years

following date of last manufacture for the product,

I found out in a recent call to Sony Service...). For

pro-division gear, the pricing is likely different.

A cleaning (only) should be fairly cheap, relatively.
