I do
not like the TRV950 due to its very high image contrast.
And,
good Shure XLR->mini-plug adapters are about $35 each.
A used
VX2000 or new VX2100 (or even a used TRV900 or
Panasonic
EZ30U) with added accessories seems a better buy
if
image-quality is a concern (though *if* you can control the
lighting,
the PDX10 may still be your best choice, if its size is
important).
