last is relevant - the other is taste (I prefer a VF that is useful
for
good evaluation of framing/exposure/color-balance/contrast -
and
outdoors, an LCD panel is not it...).

Some
people like excessive contrast (the GL-1 sold well,
though
I hated its image for contrast and other reasons) - but
high
contrast can cause much trouble in anything other than
controlled-lighting
conditions (or on grey days...;-).

I would
go first with the VX2000/2100 (with whatever accessories
you
need to add, but this is still cheaper than a 150/170), and second
with
the options I mentioned above, if size/price are greater concerns
than
picture quality...
