Almost all DV camcorders have analogue input enabled in US;
all use FireWire for video transfer (except the low-quality
memory-stick video...); almost all have a mic input; some
have analogue "pass-through", so you do not need
to record
VHS to DV first (on the way to the computer). If you avoid
the lowest-end camcorders, most have the features you ask
for (except WA - but there are good WA converters available
to solve this...). If you care about image and sound
quality, this is where your search should be concentrated;
the camcorder models do vary noticeably in these (I often
recommend the Sony TRV740 D8 and the TRV25/27/18 Mini-DV
as offering the "best for money" in 1-CCD
models...). You
