For me, the F4 is an excellent, versatile manual-focus camera, but

too big for my hands and awkward to pack; the N90 is one of the

few Nikon bodies with a poor VF (it is not as sharp as most other

Nikons); the F100 offers most desirable features in a very nice

package (with the right weight and size for pleasant use) and is my

first choice for an AF body, having owned many Nikons. Others to

consider, if manual focus is OK: the F3 (great compact manual

camera) and the 8008/801 (great flash control, with compact motor

drive).
