30.5mm is non-standard (as is the Sony 30mm),

but can be stepped up to the standard 37mm or

larger, so that these common-sized lens converters

can be used. The best brands of these: Canon, Sony,

Raynox, and sometimes Kenko. Often the claimed

multiplier is false (I have several ".5X" converters

that are closer to .7X...;-), though not with Canon,

Sony, or Raynox converters. The Canon option is

likely the best, particularly if you want to stay

small in size. BTW, the claimed features are common

to many...
