I'm a
wide-angle nut (I have a bunch of these for the VX2000 plus
other
cameras - see www.David-Ruether-Photography.com/WA-converters.htm).
I'm
also critical of motion-artifacting, especially with some Mini-DV
camcorders.
I have not observed exaggeration of motion-artifacting
with the
addition of a WA converter. Differences of scale of subject
parts
resulting from changing FLs may appear to have this effect due
to the
fixed number of scan lines (and if the WA converter is VERY
sharp,
an increase in "mosquito" noise with DV can result from fine
textures),
but I don't think anything is inherent in the addition of the
converter
that would always produce this effect...
