If you are expecting miracles with VHS, you will
be disappointed. I use a very moderate amount
of sharpening with VHS to try to "harden" the
edges
a bit to retain what info was on the tape (increasing
contrast and darkening the image a bit can also help),
but you cannot expect an improvement in real info,
just a bit in the "impression" of *slightly*
better
sharpness, at best...
