I don't know the JVC, but the Sony has a good, neutral-pleasant, moderately-sharp

image with minimal motion-artifacting, good color, and (by current standards...)

good low-light range. See the PC9 images compared with other Sony imaging

types at www.David-Ruether-Photography.com/camcorder--comparison.htm (the Sony PC9,

TRV11, 17, 18, 19, and 22 all have the same picture...). The 22 is pleasantly tiny,

and I'm (sorta...;-) getting used to the touch-screen controls (I prefer buttons

and a wheel for controls). Look also at the TRV33 - it has a sharper image and a

bit better color, but less low-light range and higher picture contrast ("normal" vs.

a bit o' "pizzaz"...;-).
