The trade-offs are not so obvious or easy to decide on

(hence my answer, above...;-). The low-light *range*

of the 18 is a bit greater, given its larger CCD and

lower pixel-count - but the *image quality* in terms of

image-sharpness, color-quality, and image smoothness

at the (higher) lower limit of the 25 favors the 25

(and the fairly conservative pixel-count appears to

minimize somewhat the motion-artifacting seen on

higher pixel count models...).
