No, but that is what IR remotes (or on-camera buttons)

are for...;-) The RM-VD1 is unique and "neat" in that it

has on it only the basics for recording, and it is astonishingly

tiny - and it has a well-designed integrated clip that permits

its attachment to a tripod control arm (or even a finger! ;-).
