But, where are the MX5000 images? This is the camera of
interest to the original poster - and the Haru site does
appear to compare this camera to others in controlled
lighting for judging low light range (and the Pan.
models [except the DVX100] all appear to have seriously
limited low light range - worse even than several Sony
1-CCD models...). The site you mention in your other
post compares the cameras of interest, but in a way that
doesn't tell me much... BTW, I have some comparison sites,
at: www.David-Ruether-Photography.com/camcorder-comparison.htm,
www.David-Ruether-Photography.com/sony_dcr-vx2000.htm, and
www.David-Ruether-Photography.com/camcorder--comparison.htm - and
a video image characteristics site, at:
www.David-Ruether-Photography.com/vid_pict_characts.htm. With these,
I kept the lighting as consistent as I could - but this
then limits these sites to the cameras available at the
time. The Haru site has inconsistent lighting for the
exterior images, but there are still many things one can
compare in these images, and his list of compared models
and his range of shooting situations are very broad. (The
site is at: http://www4.big.or.jp/~a_haru/index.html.)
