No problem - as we both noted, the Nikon AF line is
missing some useful lenses, and we both combine AF
and MF systems to supply them. I was afraid you might
be purchasing the N80 as your only body, and on this
one, the use of the MF lenses you had would be awkward.
What ever happened to Nikon's regard for its past
and future customers??? Part of the appeal of Nikon
was (in addition to its mostly excellent VFs and
wide range of excellent lenses) the ability of the
user to match old gear with newer (or future) gear,
with the resultant safety in buying gear that held
its value very well for long periods of time. Nikon
appears now to be throwing this advantage away by
introducing incompatibility into the line, along with
some "so-so" optics, for the quick
"low-end" buck,
just as Canon did years ago (and it apparently didn't
hurt Canon - but their marketing has always been
excellent...;-).
