As others suggested, you may want to look at wider-range

alternatives (I like the 24-120, and there is a VR version

about to appear). As for the 28-105, it appears to have

the potential for being an excellent lens at f5.6 and

smaller, but of a few samples tried, I have yet to find

a well-aligned sample - and the performance of the samples

I've tried varied noticeably...
