I have tried the older Tamron 17mm SP MF, the Tokina 17mm ATX, and

the Nikkor 18mm f3.5 MF. No contest - the Nikkor was excellent; the

other two were barely adequate for small images (though the former owner

of the ATX also thought it was excellent ;-). Standards vary...;-)
