It is a limitation of the technology and of the very much
reduced file sizes (to make them practical for email or
web use - and then the limit is about 4 seconds for
reasonable
dial-up service download time). These videos were never
intended to be of high quality... (BTW, there is a test
video at www.visitithaca.com, "More", "A
Question for You",
"Video", to see if we wanted to add short video
clips to
this web page - it was shot with the PC9, and takes quite
a few seconds to download with a 56k modem...)
