All start/stop zooming, but they vary on the complexity
of the zoom control. The Sony remote from the tripod handles
has some limited speed control (rocker, in increments); the
RM95 and the old grip-handle Sony controllers are
single-speed, as I recall (these are all the cheapest); the
Canon 1000 permits pre-selecting a zoom speed (6) or using
a rocker (under $200); the big Varizoom permits variable
speed (with dial, continuously variable, moveable while
zooming, under $400). None will zoom the lens slower than
the on-camera control, and none will
"ease-in/ease-out"
of zooming smoothly, unfortunately...
