First of all, I would place the Sony VX2000/PD150,

Sony TRV950/PDX10 (good light only), Canon GL2 (XM2),

Panasonic DVX100, and JVC 300 all in a higher class

in terms of picture-quality than the XL-1s. The

JVC HD1 is a 1-CCD HDTV unit with noticeably higher

resolution, but apparently with considerable

limitations that make it not really "pro", or yet

easy to integrate with working set-ups...
