It is an excellent camera, but just different from the VX2000/PD150,

GY300, and GL2, not necessarily better overall. It offers some

advantages, some disadvantages compared with the other three

top-quality "Handycam" - style cameras...

I don't agree with this (though it may be true that the low-end

HDTV cameras [as with the low-end Mini-DV cameras currently]

will first be 1-chippers [remember the Sony VX700...? ;-]).

1-CCD video still has tonal problems that 3 CCDs help cure...
