This
comes up often. Due to conventions more than capabilities, Mini-DV
cameras
(and similar D8 and DVCam) transfer full digital video data ONLY
over
FireWire - the USB is used for stills and lower-quality video. BTW,
when
buying a FireWire card, make sure it has a TI chipset (these can be
as
cheap as $15, including decent editing software, if you look around...).
