It never needs to be turned off on the F3... (how

easy is that???;-). I find the F3 easier to hold steady,

the VF FAR better in terms of coverage, off-axis focus,

and freedom from linear distortion. It is also easier to

see with glasses (even with the non-HP finder). The

shutter release is softer and easier to trip smoothly

on the F3. The Shutter-speed dial of the F3 is easy to

operate with one finger, also...

Excellent, unless the light is low (and it is easy to

directly apply exposure compensations in the finder

with the FE-2) - though the meter light switch on the

F3 is not easy to find...

Only the higher flash synch is useful (and it is

VERY useful) - though both cameras meter only to

400 ASA, unfortunately... BTW, with the AS-7 and

the SC remote cord, you can set TTL fill ratios

on the F3 (possible on the FE-2 with mis-set ASA

and compensation when reading exposure, but it is

harder...).

Try the SC7 adapter...

Try the AS7 shoe adapter...

Mirror lock-up at any time, a "T" setting, plus items

above...
