But sharp, low-distortion, and accurate-framing, unlike
the bright, compact AF finders now seen in most cameras.
And, you can put newer viewing-screen "glass" (as
from
a Nikon F4 or F5) into F/F2 screen frames, if you want
to brighten an already good F2 screen. If that isn't
bright enough, you can get other-brand
"bright-screens",
but at the risk of losing the easy-focus ability of the
original Nikkor screens for the F2... Personally, I have
not seen a better screen for easy focus (anywhere in
the screen!) than the original "bulls-eye"
heavy-Fresnel-lined "B" screen made for the
original
Nikon F - everything since has compromised focus ability
for VF "aesthetics", and most recent screens are
close
to unusable for easy manual focus even in the screen
centers...
