Uh, you can reduce picture contrast and edge sharpness

by filtration in front of the lens and by reducing

lighting contrast, but the results can appear as ugly

to some of us as the original problem, which *is* ugly.

BTW, the DV-aliasing problems vary among models and types

of DV cameras, and you may have one that looks worse

than others - and the aliasing problem can be worst with

high-pixel-count 1-chippers, and least offensive with the

best 3-chippers... BTW, you may find this interesting:
