It is only $3.10/tape more expensive...;-)

Obviously you don't remember the days when

EX was the only thing available, was $15/tape,

and was IMPOSSIBLE to get except during brief

"windows" of time when Sony supplied it in

the US (we practically hocked the house to get

enough tape to carry us 8 months or so [trusting

we could buy it again within six months or so...]).

$7.49/tape seems "dirt cheap" for 1-1.5 hours of

high-quality easily-obtained recording medium

even now, and I eagerly pay it for mastering

tapes (and for most other purposes...;-).
