cannot recommend the TRV940/950. While its picture is sharp
(but so
is that of the 1-CCD TRV30/50/70/80 and "vertical" variants)
and
smoother with motion than most 1-CCD models, it suffers the
same tonal
problems (loss of shadow and highlight information) and
restricted
low-light range that limit the usefulness of most 1-CCD
models.
I would look for a good low-use used TRV900, VX1000,
or
possibly even a Panasonic EZ30U/950 - I prefer the pictures from
these
(and the sound is better on the second two - though the Pan.
has
some noticeable picture and control problems).
