The
results will be identical (being digital), but some of us
strongly
recommend not mixing tape brands to avoid head-clog
problems.
Since most (all?) Mini-DV tape is actually made by
Sony or
Panasonic, there is a chance Fiji may actually be Sony
(or
Panasonic...). BTW, Sony makes 80-minute tapes in both
PR and
EX types, though only the PR appears to be available in
the US
(you can probably get it from a good US discounter for
about
$10US/tape + shipping).
