Your
list is a bit out of date. The VX1000 and TRV900
(and
maybe the Panasonic EZ30U/950) are the best of
the
last generation Mini-DV camcorders, and can be
good
used values. I did not like the GL1, though it was
usable
(of the older-generation 3-CCD cameras, I would
place
only the Sharp 3-CCD camera lower - though I
also
did not like the XL1).
Currently,
I would look first at the Sony VX2000/2100
and the
Panasonic DVX100/80, and then at the JVC
DV-GY300,
and last at the GL2. I did not like the
TRV950 as
much as the TRV900 or VX1000, and I
don't
like the current small 3-CCD Panasonics either.
(Most
of the above is based on good-light picture quality.
