It depends on what you mean... As I recall, it

does not crop, but "squishes" the image, using

all the available pixels for image-making

(anamorphic effect) - but it does not have a

16:9 pixel-array CCD (the Sony DVCam version

of the TRV950 comes closer to providing this,

though...).
