1-CCD
Mini-DV camcorders are barely adequate for this
type of
work, and that in about 50% of churches I encounter -
with
the others being too dark. I use a bunch of 3-CCD
TRV900s
for this purpose (want one? ;-). The PC9/TRV19/22
is the
only level of 1-CCD Sony camcorder that can sometimes
be used
(you will need to do quite a bit of work on the image
and
accept the high "grain" level of the results if you want to
approximate
the image of the VX2000 - see low light samples
at
www.David-Ruether-Photography.com/camcorder--comparison.htm,
including
the PC9 frame modified to best-match the VX2000
frame).
The TRV900 is fairly easy to match to the VX2000,
and it
is reasonably compact...
